"In October 2017 Sr. Fe Manalo, was elected our first Superior General from Asia by the representatives of 7 countries gathered for our general chapter at our Generalate in Sherbrooke PQ Canada."



"The new General Council of the Congregation includes representatives from our four Provinces: Left to right: Sr. Gina Bernados,Philippines, Sr. Abgair Moreira , Brazil, Sr.Fe Manalo, Superior General Sr. Maria Hue Vu, Vietnam; Sr. Claire Duchesne, Canada. Absent from the photo was Sr.Veronique Nguyen thi Mai , Treasurer General from Vietnam."



"The general chapter of the Blessed Sacrament Fathers brought together representatives of the various branches of the spiritual Family of St. Peter Julian Eymard : Fr. Eugenio Barbosa Martins, Superior General of the Blessed Sacrament Fathers; Miss Marie McDonald, superior of the Secular Institute, Servitium Christi; Sr. Janine Bourque, former Superior General of the Servants of the Blessed Sacrament and Mr. Jim Brown, director of the lay Associates of the Aggregation of the Blessed Sacrament, USA."



"Our Congregation mourns the loss of Sr. Mary Catherine Perko, SSS in Waterville, Maine USA. An excerpt from her short obituary follows. Sister's term as Superior general was noted for the incorporation of the Vietnamese sisters into our Congregation 25 years ago.

Sister Mary Catherine Perko SSS. passed away on May 1st, 2018 after 5 days at the infirmary of St. Joseph's Convent in Biddeford Maine. Sister was born on September 18, 1927 and pronounced her vows as a Servant of the Blessed Sacrament on Nov. 21, 1955 in the Waterville convent on Silver St

Sister was born and studied in Cleveland Ohio. She graduated from the college of New Rochelle, N.Y and Fordham University school of Law. As a religious she studied biblical theology for 5 years at the Gregorian University in Rome. In her role as Superior General of our religious congregation for 12 years she visited and met sisters in 10 different countries where her presence and ministry were greatly appreciated. She subsequently served as religious superior of the Waterville convent for 6 years. She chose the following text as one of her favorites: "I have loved you with an everlasting love. I have called you and you are mine." (Jer. 31:3)




"Our congratulations to our sisters in Vietnam. In July of 2018 the Vietnamese province will celebrate 25 years of incorporation into our Congregation. Here we show a photo of the first group to make vows at that time. At present they number over 150 sisters."
